We are proud to announce that ScreenMail is finally open for public beta testing! After an intensive closed testing period, we now welcome everyone to try out our new platform. We reserve the right to limit the amount of beta users so be quick and sign up.

ScreenMail is a SaaS tool that lets you receive ScreenMails, videos that show what happens on a computer display. ScreenMails are recorded with our web tool (no need to install any software). You can record your desktop and use a microphone for voice. It is ideal eg. for explaining that bug to your software developers or understanding the problems your clients are facing when using your software.

You could even ask potential workers to do simple tasks to verify their skill before asking them for an interview. Remote usability testing is another huge thing now and this tool will fit right into that. Just ask your customers or sample group to do specific tasks while recording. The videos can be analyzed and watched even by the developers when they are implementing the changes the users have suggested.

Setting up the tools is quick and easy, it just takes a couple of minutes.

Screenmail consists of 2 interfaces. First we have the admin interface, accessible via the login screen. Here you can setup inboxes and watch the videos that you have received. It is also possible to manage your account details.

The other part of the interface is the recording page. This is shown to the people who make screencasts for you. This page is public and lets the user record the video without installng any software on their computer. They can also review the video before sending and optionally include a message for you. The recording page url can be found in the admin interface. It is always of the form https://screenmail.to/[your email address]/[box name]
